Reflective Journal #1

If you could tell your life story to one person, to whom would it be? Where would you begin (moment that changed your world view)?

The only person I would tell my life story to would be a friend that I wanted to know me better. Most of my friends and my family members can recite my life story because they're a major part of it. I'm not an assertive person, so I wouldn't tell my story to just anyone. They would have to be someone I know well, but not someone I've grown up with.

I'm not exactly sure where I would begin my story. I would probably start at the beginning, like where I was born and then skip to the interesting parts (elementary school, exotic vacations, middle school, challenges I've gone through). If I had to pick a point to begin, I would choose my family reunion at Shaver Lake, California. I was seven when it happened and the reunion was one of the best weeks of my life. I played with my cousins, went on hikes and ate lots of s'mores. This is an important place to begin for me because this emphasizes the love and support my family has given me while I've grown up. In everything I do, whether that is sports or school, my family is always there to encourage me. At my family reunion, I realized how lucky I was to have such a close-knit family.
